Our global pharmaceutical client is seeking an experienced Business Associate with a strong background in consulting and project management to support the Office of the CEO. This role involves proposing, initiating, and leading strategic and operational projects, managing project timelines, and providing solutions to ensure deadlines are met. You will support the Head of Strategy and Special Projects by developing business strategies and analytics on internal and external factors affecting the organisation. As a key point of contact, you will also handle executive communications and play a critical role in the integration of bolt-on acquisition businesses, focusing on supply chain and process flows.
Key Job Outputs:
- Develop and implement processes and systems for efficient governance across functions, ensuring smooth operations and achievement of results.
- Independently evaluate business performance by participating in weekly operational meetings and driving monthly governance sessions to maintain consistent operational performance.
- Act as a critical agent for business projects and acquisition integrations, particularly in the bolt-on acquisition category, driving cross-functional interventions to realise acquisition economics.
- Enhance the CEO’s presence through high-quality communications for internal and external forums.
- Compile and track objectives on business strategy to meet growth and profitability targets, aligned with the CEO’s overall strategy.
- Track and lead key strategic projects across regions/functions in line with the overall company strategy and revenue goals.
Key Interactions:
You will work closely with the CEO, executive and departmental heads, and finance, commercial, and supply chain teams for alignment on business priorities. Externally, you will liaise with business partners, government bodies, consultancies, and analytical organisations. Globally, you will report to the Chairman and interact with African business units to drive projects and gather information.
To excel in this position, you will need to have strong consulting experience, project management, and analytical skills. You should demonstrate the ability to handle complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to engage with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, are crucial. Strong leadership qualities, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive business innovation are also essential.
