Our global pharmaceutical client urgently requires an experienced Tender/State Manager to oversee the tender process and drive the organisation’s growth and profitability in the public sector. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a robust track record in managing tenders and state-related bids, emphasizing efficiency, quality, and strategic planning.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management
- 5-10 years of industry experience (minimum 5 years of tender experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, direct, and monitor the overall performance of the tender process team to achieve maximum efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Liaise, support, and assist between the tender process department and the rest of the organisation.
- Maintain and improve mechanisms for identifying opportunities, surveying, measuring tender processes, and disseminating feedback to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Utilise agreed systems to manage tender process functions, analysis, and documentation.
- Develop plans for tender process activities to meet targets and streamline processes.
- Provide support to other departments with tender-related queries and issues.
- Manage recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and development of the tender process team to ensure targets are met.
- Assist in the development and execution of the organisation’s tender process strategy and overall business planning.
- Set an example of commitment, work ethics, and personal character for team members.
- Control expenses and resources to meet budgetary requirements.
- Interact and collaborate with all members of the organisation, suppliers, and customers.
- Monitor costs and manage budgets effectively.
- Work closely with the management team and conduct team briefings once bids are secured.
Job Requirements:
- Experience with state tenders and tender requirements is advantageous.
- Excellent industry knowledge and the ability to keep up with trends.
