Our client, a prominent pharmaceutical company, is looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager to develop and manage senior-level relationships and strategies. The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional strategic key account management skills to meet company objectives.
Required education and experience
- Matric, Sales & Marketing Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of pharmaceutical industry and Key Account Management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular contact with Buying and Replenishment offices to ensure strong relationships.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales against targets.
- Drive retail sales through paid promotions, ad-hoc campaigns, and in-store advertising.
- Negotiate and enforce trading terms to maximise profitability.
- Collaborate with Category teams to secure optimal shelf space based on market share and sales data.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure flawless promotional execution.
- Conduct competitor pricing analysis and maintain knowledge of market trends.
- Accurately forecast sales for both new and existing product ranges.
- Manage product listings, maintain existing ones, and execute new launches.
- Provide valuable market feedback to Senior Management.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to align strategies and objectives.
- Convene, attend, and actively participate in meetings as needed.
- Prepare and compile detailed reports on key account activities and outcomes.
