Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with solid background in manufacturing finance who can ensure compliance, optimise costs, and provide high-quality financial reporting to support business decision-making.
 
Your Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate monthly operations and financial reporting, ensuring timely submission to the Finance Manager, site leadership, and central finance.
    • Deliver accurate financial and management reports.
    • Analyse and challenge plant costs, capital spend, inventory management, yields, and site metrics.
    • Collaborate with departments to update/design Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings to calculate standard costs.
    • Maintain BOMs in the system and review cost/expense variances.
    • Identify and coordinate cost improvement projects.
    • Resolve purchase order issues and vendor documentation discrepancies.
    • Support cycle counts and stock accuracy, investigating and resolving issues.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance, company policies, and Code of Conduct.
    • Provide financial support to site manufacturing operations and cross-site initiatives.
    • Simplify complex financial data into concise reports for management review.
 
Minimum Requirements:
    • BCom Accounting or CIMA preferred
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a management accounting role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
    • Excellent analytical skills, accuracy in data handling, and ability to prioritise under pressure.
    • Capable of working independently and driving results.
