The Opportunity
We’re looking for a dynamic Marketing Manager to lead the Personal Care portfolio within a fast-paced consumer division. This pivotal role calls for a commercially savvy and creative marketer who thrives on driving brand growth through data-led strategy, breakthrough campaigns, and inspiring leadership.
You’ll lead a talented team of Brand Managers and work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver winning innovation, brand performance, and business results.
What will your job entail
- Drive Strategy & Growth: Lead the development and execution of strategic and annual brand plans to grow market share, brand equity, and profitability.
- Champion Brand Excellence: Manage brand performance, oversee campaign execution (ATL, BTL, digital, PR), and ensure top-tier creative delivery.
- Lead & Inspire: Build, coach, and empower a high-performing team of marketers.
- Collaborate & Influence: Work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and external agencies to bring ideas to life.
- Innovate for the Future: Oversee product and packaging innovation, renovation, and research to keep the portfolio future-fit.
- Deliver Commercial Results: Own category P&L, monitor ROI, and ensure effective budget management.
About You
You’re a natural brand builder, a strategic thinker, and an inspiring leader who loves fast-moving consumer brands. You combine creativity with commercial acumen and have a genuine passion for personal care and wellness.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business (BCom / BBusSci or equivalent)
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
- 8+ years total marketing experience, including:
Minimum 5 years in brand/marketing management2+ years managing teams
- Proven experience in FMCG within the South African market
- Strong background in Personal Care (Hair, Skin, Face, or Feminine Care)
- Demonstrated success driving big brand strategies from concept to execution
- Financial acumen: P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting
