Job Purpose
Our pharmaceutical client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nursing Sister to join their Innovation Vaccines division. The role is pivotal in educating healthcare professionals about vaccines, offering clinical and scientific support, and ensuring optimal clinical application of the company’s products. Working closely with sales and medical teams, the Nursing Sister will engage with general practitioners, pharmacists, and primary healthcare clinics to drive vaccine advocacy and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Educational Support: Provide detailed information and educational materials on vaccines, including safety, efficacy, and administration guidelines.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals to address their needs and concerns regarding vaccines.
- Advocacy and Awareness: Promote the benefits of vaccines through consultative discussions, adhering to company policies and national vaccination guidelines, and supporting activities to increase vaccine uptake in adults.
- Training and Resources: Conduct training sessions and webinars for healthcare providers, organize small group sessions with nurse practitioners, and attend conferences to train nurses.
- Field Support: Provide in-person or virtual consultation by traveling to healthcare facilities and events as required.
- Feedback and Insights: Gather and relay feedback from healthcare professionals about vaccine perceptions, administration barriers, and improvement opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines in all activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Nursing Council license and 2-5 years of clinical nursing or primary healthcare experience.
- Proven expertise in immunology, infectious diseases, or public health is highly advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of vaccines, immunisation schedules, and healthcare protocols.
- Valid driving license and own vehicle for field assignments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building trust-based relationships.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, vaccination guidelines, and industry standards.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales and knowledge of professional education techniques.
