Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join their Johannesburg team. Your Responsibilities:
- Maintain optimal stock levels in line with business strategy and customer service targets.
- Collaborate with S&OP, Sales, Marketing, 3PL, and warehousing teams to secure product availability.
- Coordinate with Customer Service and Sales to align supply with customer demand.
- Partner with Demand Planning and Commercial teams to identify and mitigate supply risks.
- Manage inventory across warehouses, minimising write-offs and ensuring KPI compliance.
- Work closely with 3PL partners to ensure SLA compliance and corrective action where needed.
- Provide analytical reporting to support supply chain decisions.
- Organise and lead supply review meetings to improve planning processes.
- Monitor KPIs, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
- Support special projects aimed at process efficiency and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, planning systems, and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (essential), with readiness to adopt digital tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with stakeholder influence ability.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, resilient, and comfortable working under pressure.
